There are various career paths one can pursue with a Level 3 childcare qualification, including roles such as:
Nursery Teaching Assistant - Assists nursery teachers by planning and executing learning activities, addressing children's personal needs, providing emotional support, and ensuring their safety.
Nursery Supervisor (Nursery Manager) - Manages the daily operations of a nursery, ensures compliance with welfare standards, and oversees the maintenance of the facility.
Early Years Assistant - Focuses on the emotional, social, and physical needs of children, helping them adjust and participate in group activities, and aids teachers and parents in understanding each child’s needs.
Care Worker - Supervises and monitors the social and physical activities of children and teenagers, catering to their basic needs and potentially caring for those with disabilities or medical conditions.
Assistant Youth Supporter - Provides educational resources and early interventions for young people, aiding their developmental transitions.
Community Worker - Supports community development by addressing personal or local issues, and may specialize in advising families on childcare.
Nursery Nurse - Ensures the health and safety of children in a nursery, supports early years educators, organizes activities, and may administer medication.
These roles leverage the skills and accreditation gained from a Level 3 childcare qualification, emphasising the diverse opportunities available in the field of childcare and education.

At Eden, our experienced and highly qualified Skills Coaches support both the employer and apprentice to ensure achievements milestones and improvement targets are appropriate to the workplace and accelerate learning.
This includes coordinating the apprentices’ planned off-the-job learning, their attendance at teaching sessions and assessment activities, along with preparation for end-point assessment.
Currently 100% funding is available for apprentices ages 16 – 21 and 95% funded for those aged 22 + (subject to the employers levy status). This is accessed via the employer digital apprenticeship service account.
